The Eurocamp website re-platforming project showcases Brighter Design’s expertise in user-centric design and our ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder projects. By placing the user at the heart of the design process and fostering close collaboration between various teams, we helped Eurocamp create a flexible, high-performing e-commerce platform optimised for sales and conversions.
This case study demonstrates our ability to support digital transformation projects, assisting with everything from initial requirements gathering to final design and implementation. The success of this project underscores our commitment to creating digital solutions that drive tangible business results through improved user experience.

Opportunity
Eurocamp, a leading European camping holiday provider, needed to re-platform its core websites to create a unified, mobile-first e-commerce solution optimised for sales and conversions across multiple markets. The challenge was to create a streamlined user journey while accommodating different languages, currencies, and travel options for various markets. The project’s primary objectives included:
- Create a single site for all markets with language and currency differentials, plus travel options for UK customers.
- Build a streamlined and flexible MVP capable of testing and accepting new features iteratively.
- Design a simple and effective user journey focused on guiding users to product pages.
- Adopt a conversion-focused, e-commerce-first design approach that prioritises user experience and drives sales.

What we did
Brighter Design provided comprehensive support to Eurocamp’s marketing and technical teams throughout the re-platforming process. Taking a mobile-first design approach, we prioritised user experience across all devices, ensuring that every interaction was optimised for how customers browse and book their holidays.
Throughout the project, we were an essential intermediary between product owners and agile development teams, facilitating communication and maintaining alignment between all stakeholders. This collaborative approach allowed us to design an intuitive path that efficiently guides users to product pages, optimising the journey for increased conversions.
How we did it
Our journey began with requirements gathering, where we worked closely with business analysts to collect and refine project specifications. We then moved into stakeholder consultation, engaging extensively with content, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure our approach carefully considered all perspectives.
The next phase involved creating a comprehensive story map to define the vision for the new website. This led naturally into feature planning, where we collaborated with technical teams to determine the optimal components and functionality. In parallel, we developed detailed site maps and user flow diagrams to optimise navigation and user experience as part of our information architecture work.
During this phase, we reviewed customer feedback and analytics to ensure our efforts were focused on prioritising user needs and requests. This user-centric approach allowed us to address pain points and deliver features with the most significant impact.
A key part of our process involved collaborating closely with the UX and design teams to build a cohesive design system, ensuring consistency across the platform. This foundation supported our prototyping and visual design phases, where we developed wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs using tools like Axure and Figma.
We maintained agile collaboration throughout the process, participating in daily stand-ups and reporting progress directly to the CTO and CMOs to ensure we remained aligned with business goals.
‘Their collaborative approach and deep understanding of UX made a significant impact on our business.‘
Effectiveness
Optimised search experience & discovery
User engagement showed substantial improvement, with a marked increase in sessions viewing search results pages, with more users actively exploring product options and pricing.
Improved user engagement & booking values
Increased parc page views and notably higher average booking values resulted from users more thoroughly researching their options and following a more qualified conversion path.
Enhanced speed & performance
The new website demonstrated superior performance metrics, with significantly faster loading times and improved interactivity across all pages, particularly on the homepage.
“Brighter Design truly understands the importance of putting the user first. During our website re-platforming, they expertly bridged the gap between our product owners and agile development teams. The result was a mobile-first e-commerce platform optimised for sales and conversions. Their collaborative approach and deep understanding of UX made a significant impact on our business.”
